Lumobot LLC ("Lumobot", "we", "us") provides AI-powered chatbot and SMS messaging services to local businesses. This SMS Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information related to text message (SMS/MMS) communications sent through the Lumobot platform.

Consent to Receive Text Messages

By providing your phone number through a Lumobot-powered chatbot or form, you consent to receive text messages from the business you are interacting with. These messages may include:

• Appointment confirmations and reminders
• Follow-up messages after your inquiry
• Responses to questions you asked via text
• Missed call text-back notifications

Message frequency varies based on your interaction. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

What Data We Collect

When you interact with SMS features, we may collect:

• Phone number — provided voluntarily by you
• Message content — text messages exchanged between you and the business
• Opt-in/opt-out status — your consent preferences
• Timestamps — when messages were sent and received

How We Use SMS Data

SMS data is used solely to:

• Deliver messages between you and the business you contacted
• Send appointment reminders and follow-ups on behalf of the business
• Process your opt-out requests

We do not sell, share, or use SMS data for advertising or marketing purposes unrelated to the business you contacted. SMS opt-in data and consent information will not be shared with any third parties except our texting service provider (Twilio) for the purpose of delivering messages.

Opt-Out

You can opt out of receiving text messages at any time by:

• Replying STOP to any text message
• Contacting the business directly
• Emailing us at mike@lumobot.io

After opting out, you will receive a final confirmation message and no further texts will be sent unless you re-subscribe.

Data Security

All SMS data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest (AES-256) via our infrastructure providers (Supabase, Twilio). Access to SMS data is restricted to the business you interacted with and authorized Lumobot personnel for support purposes only.

Data Retention

SMS message data is retained for as long as the business maintains an active Lumobot account. If a business cancels their account, all associated SMS data is deleted within 30 days. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.
